December 24, 2008 Dear Friends, Merry Christmas to you! I received email today from Pastor Andrew. Below are some of his comments I knew you’d be interested in… Dear Rev. Bill Pevlor, Thank you very much for your continuous support of God’s work on this part of the globe. The children of the Victorious Faith Refuge home say merry Christmas to you, your family, and church, and to all those who are continuously extending their hand of mercy to them through their cheerful giving. The children did some cards for you but my camera has developed a resolution problem, that’s why I could not send photos as of now till the Lord provides for me to get a new one soon by His grace in Jesus name. But you can imaging their smiles when your financial help offered them toys, shoes, clothes, and good food. Please have a nice celebration and may this years Christmas season leave you with an unspeakable joy, and lots of benefits spiritually, materially, financially, and numerically for the church in Jesus name. Pastor Andrew. In another passage he told me about other help they received from Mercy Ships – the organization that performed the corrective surgery on Emmanuel’s legs. …a couple of Orphanages listed by the mercy ministries division of the Mercy Ships for specific help. When offerings were raised in one of their meetings to be apportioned to credible homes, the Victorious Faith Refuge Home came out through the grace of God to have been one amongst the homes to benefit from a portion of this help and other homes were disqualified. So one of them visited my home and saw the need for a girls dorm as that was a pressing requirement for the Health and Social Welfare ministry. They blessed me with $2,500 USD and asked that I add that to any other fund I had to need for the building project. When I received this help from the Mercy Ship, coupled with your own regular financial help, and other personal savings, I quickly implemented projects without delay. I’ve posted a video on the home page of this website. This video was produced some time ago and some conditions have improved at the Refuge Home since it was created. (Just read the updates.) Go to the site and watch the video, then share it with others. Send your friends and family email with a link to the sight or post it on your Facebook account…or what ever else you can think of. Be creative. I love watching the video just to see the children. Pray for Pastor Andrew, his family and the Refuge Home. Thank you for the prayer and support that is making a remarkable difference for them in Liberia. |
