Osman came to the Refuge Home in April of 2005 from Lofa County, a rural interior highland area of Liberia. Osman’s father was killed by rebels during the war and his mother was displaced from their home and traveled to Clara Town Community in Monrovia. Osman eventually ended up under the care of others who were unable to provide for him and brought him to the refuge home. Osman enjoys reading, playing soccer, joking and laughing. He is in middle school and attends a different school than the other orphans who attend the church elementary school. Schools there are not free, so this is an added expense for the home.
